My garden is finally underway. It had a very late start due to various factors. I didn't buy greenhouse tomato plants this year, just Hungarian wax peppers, and Brussles sprouts. I do have quite a few tomato plants started from seed and many volunteers. I'm still filling a few of the raised beds with material to be composted.
My Yukon gold potatoes finally popped up. The sunchokes came back with vehemence. I decided to make their raised bed a permanent planting and planted asparagus seeds in it too. I'm going to have tons of tomatillo from volunteers and purple tomatillo from seed. The tomatoes I planted are black sea man variety. Which are green, purple, black, red all mixed.
My raised bed for greens is loaded with wild greens and a few domesticated varieties; Romain lettuce, lamb's quarters, common yellow woodsorrel, American burnweed, and whatever I'm not remembering. The garlic I planted last fall is doing well and I have luffa sponge seedlings popping up. I still have tons of carrot seeds to plant still.
