it looked like this though, like one of those old fashioned stone wall pineapple ornaments
it was about 1cm in diameter, it was much more rounded out & egg shaped than this depiction, and it was in a little round pocket by itself
the rocks in the area were all limestone from the mississippian era, in northern western middle tn
only later i realized i've never seen anything like it, i wish i took it, but it was a heavy rock, in a river, in a long trek, during a thunderstorm
the only thing i can think of is if it was maybe an eyestock of something or perhaps a plant piece of some kind
does anyone know what this could have been?
