This method I was asking about a few threads ago of germinating (alpine) strawberries does work well even without cold stratification, I just left them outside under plastic wrap for 2~3 weeks and results speak for themselves.

I have no idea what's going on with them, most are completely green, some do this darkening thing and two are almost yellow and they are all the same cultivar supposedly.
