For water, collect rainwater by having a sloping roof and gutters. collect the rainwater into barrels stored high inside. Use natural filters for water. When the water is held high, you have the benefit of gravity-powered water pressure. From there run pipe to wherever you need. You can even use bamboo if you've been growing it.
You don't have to have a flush toilet! Composting toilets are a good option that avoid plumbing all together and saves water.
Run drain pipe from showers and faucets and washers to plants for grey water irrigation.
