>>1441280It can be lighter than tent camping if you spend $$$$ but you will save lots of pack space using a hammock. It also has the advantage of being able to set up anywhere - when tent spots are all busy being taken at a campground, hammocks reign supreme. You also sleep better/its healthier to sleep in hammocks as well.
