>>1616204>I can't really explain it but it really just seems like a wholly better fit. Honestly for me the main reason is that the sprawl got so bad that it's difficult to form any kind of relation with the landscape. I love the chaparral and I consider is an equal to the redwoods but holy hell the it got butchered by the suburbs especially in the I.E.. For me it is either chill in the shublands or go to the north coast and the shrublands are just not an option anymore.
>What field do you work in presently?I'm in urban/regional planning though the only job I've really had is a internship with a public works department. It hasn't been going well since there is less than a dozen planning departments in the region and the profession is brutal for people trying to get their first full time job. It doesn't help that I got rejected twice from a county department after interviewing for the same position on two separate occasions.
What degree are you looking to get? If you don't have any debt by the end of college, getting a simple job until something opens up in your field might be a good option.
