Now that virtually everyone in the West lives in urbanized areas, people have that desire to be in nature more than ever, but they are more incompetent than they ever were due to their lack of exposure to nature. This incompetence combined with the difficulty of getting out of urbanized areas makes them look foolish, or like "LARPers".
