>>1156209I decided to go ahead and make another one, since I had the Y branch already cut when I went out last time. I decided to make this one much smaller (4" x 3" x 1.25"). Since the arms are a bit close together and thicker than normal, I decided to drill holes and make plugs for it. The small size and large finger support grip pretty much demand it. I left the cambium on the wood since it has a more pleasing pattern than the wood underneath. I think the wood is hickory, but it comes from a very small sapling without leaves. Regardless, it is pretty hard wood.
I ordered bands over 4 days ago and I still haven't had a shipping notice...
