This is why I like the X-Mid geometry. It uses the hypotenuse for both the ridgeline and laying position, and has a simple 4 stake pitch with very large and tall vestibules. I have no idea why more tents don't do this, using diagonals was the first thing that occurred to me when looking at tents and this was the only UL design I found doing so.

This, a hammock is way more prone to being non-pitchable.
