Just got back from a couple weeks in the Dolomites on my board.
Incredible.
Had to watch a lot of friends enjoying massive amounts of fresh tracks through the meter ish of snow that landed in the middle of the trip, still too broken to risk anything that may cause a crash as I'm early days recovering from a knee op. Locals don't seem to enjoy going off the (excellently prepared) pistes so fresh snow there lasts quite a while. Last year I lapped a mellow lift line making fresh tracks all day, 4 days after the snow fell.
It was great to be out and part of it all again. I feared it would never be the same.
Pic related. Just look how much untracked snow was left 5 days after a huge dump. Nearly all of what you can see on the right of that piste is easily accessible and deep.
