>>1009730It was probably just other urbex'ers, they probably trashed the place too.
I always thought urbex was cool, until I actually started doing it.
There's this ritzy country club out in the middle of the woods my Mom used to manage, and me and my friend ended up exploring it after we were looking for an out of the way place to chill and smoke, and after getting high we ended up wandering around and finding out the place wasn't locked. We went in and checked the place out, it was pretty cool and kind of eery, but mostly because it was this luxury place I had a Bunche of happy childhood memories from that was now crumbling to waste. Anyways we just looked around a bit, and I'l lad it I swiped a brochure from my Mom's old office to keep as a souvenir from my childhood.
Unfortunately, the friend I wa switch told all of our roommates, and they rounded up a group of their hipster friends to go exploring multiple times over that summer.
Fuckers started smashing windows, sealing old computers, spray painting shit, just generally causing mayhem. After I found out, I confronted one of them about it, and found out the dumbasses had started making up stories about the place, saying how the owner got murdered and it was haunted now and all kinds of bullshit, and somehow, they were dumb enough to actually believe the shit they were making up themselves.
It all culminated with me botching about it one day to my Mom when we were hanging out, and she informed me that the owner actually still lives on the property, so I let the dumbasses know they should quit raising hell over there, or they might end up getting picked up for trespassing.
I don't know if they still do it, but I'd hope not.
