>>1004325I’m not a backpacker, so compactness and light weight isn’t a concern for me and I’ve got a medium weight polyester fill, nylon shell, flannel lined bag that was my first sleeping bag when I was in Boy Scouts (late 70 early 80s) and a heavy weight, polyester fill, canvas shell, flannel lined bag that’s around 30 years old.
Years back when I was tent camping for deer hunting here in Michigan, I’d unzip and splay out the heavy bag and lay out the medium bag on top of it, then safety pin it in place and zip up the outer heavy bag, for an extra heavy extra comfy winter sleeping bag.
