Since the beginning of /out/ I have wanted to make a BOB and learn some survival skills. I had a list of materials I need and was going to purchase everything tomorrow (I get paid tonight at midnight.)
As I was riding my bike I saw a package hanging in a tree. Curiosity got the better of me so I took a peek. I expected some hobo junk, but I was pleased to find:
a small broom
a handheld brush (The kind you brush snow off of your car with.)
and two boots in a garbage bag, complete with a pair of thick wool carhartt socks.
They were exactly my size. and looked like they were hardly used. I just saved myself 60-100+ dollars.
TL;DR Does anyone else have any awesome finds.
