>>1012248I'm loving my Palladium Pallabrouse Leather Winters (model 02452, pic related). Found them for €45 at TkMaxx and never looked back. But you should be able to get them normally for under 100, and definitely under 150.
They're tough as motherfucker, after 5+ years of heavy use there's almost no wear on them except for the sole, and I suspect half of that is due to also wearing them on concrete in the city rather than on trail only. They have an original leather insole too, though I had to add an extra 2mm synthetic one for comfort after which they fit like tailor-made.
Mind you I don't normally walk in wet. With good maintenance and regular waterproofing with leather paste they can withstand a decent amount of rain or puddles, but I don't know about wading in a marsh, also the tongue is only attached on the bottom and not halfway up on the sides, whatever you call that feature.
Worst thing is they don't sell them in Murrica where I live now. I've been looking for a backup pair just earlier this week and seems like I'll need to buy one when I visit the old home some day.
