>>1021258No, he fishes the same spot I fish. He's a shit fisherman trying to run a sinking lipless in a county park pond that's AT ITS DEEPEST ~7 feet, full of rocks/weeds/downed trees, and he loses them constantly.
I have watched him fish. He will lose a Rippin' Rap about once every 10 minutes. It's literally all he fishes. And yeah, he does occasionally catch a fish with it. And when he runs out, he leaves instead of fishing a different lure. There's probably close to 500 of his Rippin' Raps in this ~4 acre pond/lake now.
>am now beginning to wonder if he doesn't have OCD or autism or something.I have worked at the other stores before (Sports Authority then Bass Pro then Gander briefly, then Dick's). I get the same story from the regular customers all the fucking time--"I'm glad you have X, I'm not willing to drive to [other store]" or "No, I don't care if [other store in chain 10 minutes away] has it, I'll order it online, not willing to drive that far". Same was true at all the previous stores--most of the regular customers are regulars because it's close to their house. Bass Pro wasn't as severe as it's already pretty far away from most housing areas, but still noticeable.
This may be a phenomenon of living in a major metro area (St. Louis), but I've seen it at every store I worked at and all of my coworkers have noticed it as well.
>>1021260I'm sure that's part of it, he'll spend 30-40 minutes in there telling stories to any employee he can corner before asking about his Rippin' Raps.
Sad part is, I said old but he's probably mid-50's.
