where are some good places to get out innawoods in central california? I'm currently located in Kern County and would prefer not to have to drive too extremely far. Only woodsy shit I've done has been with my family, and we always usually had our 5th-wheel, or various "camps" with lodges and cabins and whatnot. I know how to and enjoy fishing. No gun.

i'm looking to get out in the wilderness for real with a bro or two, maybe my myself once I know I won't die out there. Would prefer places where I'm not packed next to 30 families of slobs in their massive RVs.
