>>1031779Looks like "hardware cloth" which is zinc coated. You could use any welded wire fencing/rabbit cage material if you don't mind the zinc coating.
Zinc's melting temp is 419.5 °C and its boiling temp is 907 °C. A normal wood fire gets to no more than 600 °C. It shouldn't vaporize the zinc, but you shouldn't breath the smoke anyway. I'd put the wire into a bed of hot coals for a long while before cleaning and using it.
You may also find stainless steel welded wire fencing/cage material at your hardware. It would be better to use and won't rust.
