Can /out/ recommend me a general outdoorsy watch that can withstand a beating?

Something reliable that I can wear while working in my workshop and also when I go hiking or to the beach without fear of it becoming rusted, scratched or whatever. I have an automatic seiko that I love with all my soul and a timex expedition (see pic), but I had to change its battery and timex doesn't guarantee that it remains waterproof.

What do you wear and what would you recommend?
