What is your most-used method of campfire?

There are so many. Some are just ridiculous things that people make up and pretend to like just to be different, but never really have a solid practical use for. Some people use a certain type because, "it is better for ____", but they never actually use it for the purpose stated. Some people don't even really make campfires, but try to be online experts on the subject.

So, what is that style of campfire you participate the most in? Do you make it only for your own needs? Do you make it for a large group? Do you merely enjoy campfires other people make; if so, what kind are those campfires?
