Does /out/ trap?

I kinda want to set up some traps for rabbits/foxes next time I go camping, see if I can get myself a little extra meat and as a bit of survival camping training.

So far the most effective looking one I can see is a Dead-fall trap. I was thinking a spike pit could be good, but I wouldn't want to risk something that a human or Kangaroo (I know I wouldn't be able to eat all the meat and it would be a waste, not to mention his buddies might hang around) could get caught in.

What about fishing traps too? Are there many that can be built without carrying dedicated fishing supplies?
