>>1040044There are, but they are so far all clumping varieties. You can plant a million mini mondo's in your backyard, and it will look like a lawn with a little care. Really you'd be replacing the 2 week mow with a 2 month maintenance schedule, at least for a couple of years. Dividing clumps and re-planting them in sparse areas, mostly. Or dividing large clumps to prevent them dominating the features of your lawn.
There's no reason not to do this, by the way. I do lawn and garden maintenance and the only reason people don't pick alternative ground covers is because they fear they'll be perceived as a weirdo. If your lawn was 100% mini mondo, I'd think you were a wizard, not a weirdo.
