>>104451I've seen threads pruned of off-topic posts more than once, but no entire thread deletions because of shitposters.
Unless you're talking about shit like that "unpopular outdoor opinions" thread, in which case you can go eat a dick. The wording in the OP post was designed to be as trollish as possible with shit like "You don't actually have to purify water." Of course the OP came back and whined later in another thread that he really meant "well, in certain situations where you're about to pass out from dehydration it makes more sense to drink possibly contaminated water than die" but if that was the case he shouldn't have made his OP a troll post. I'm glad it got deleted. It'd be like someone posting
>Hey Eurofags, how do you manage to go outdoors when you can only camp in designated campgrounds and you have roads all over your wilderness?and then having people whine
>Well maybe he just legitimately wanted to get a European perspective on their somewhat draconian camping laws in certain countries and hear what they thought about the issue of urban encroachment on wilderness areas. Why did the thread get deleted? If we keep having more OP posts like the first, this board is going to turn into shit real quick. People that are legitimately interested in the outdoors will leave and there will be nothing left but shitposters and the poor fools that will wander on here to get started in the outdoors and have to deal with them.
