>>107657I was snorkeling around a coral a reef in the Bahamas once. Suddenly I noticed something faint in the water.... well do you ever see the floaties in your eyes? Like the little capillary pieces or something floating around in the vitreous? It sort of looked like that but was round,, I focused on it and it was a tiny almost invisible jelly fish. Here I drew a picture in paint.
Shocked a scanned the waters around me for more and there were thousands of them everywhere. I was right in the middle of a dense float of a jelly fish. Noped the fuck out of the water but was told their stingers were too small to pierce human skin. That I shouldn't worry about it.
Next day we were at the beach and there was a clump of rocks off shore so I went swimming around it. Sea urchins all over it, a fish came, pretty good size, came swimming towards me with this crazy ass look on its' face and not swimming right. Now looking at it head on, it was about 5 to 6 inches tall and about 2 inches wide, a pretty good size fish. When it saw me it turned and the back half of it was gone, like just bitten off and some of its' intestines were hanging out.
Curious I swam around the rocks looking to see what did it. This probably wasn't my smartest move ever because as soon as I came around one rock I was face to face, I mean like less than 2 feet away face to face from 2 huge barracuda. Again, this time slowly, I noped the fuck out of the water.
Then that night we went to a restaurant about a mile down that that same shore and they were throwing stuff off the deck so that all the sharks would splash about in the water eating it. These were pretty big sharks, a mile from where I was swimming..... great.
So yeah, that was my snorkeling experience in the Bahamas.
