>>1055744Another vote for Fenix. Although I dont EDC, I have several Fenix flashlights at home, in the car and jacket pockets.
I have two E12 and can confirm it's a great flashlight. 3 settings and no memory which is great. It starts with low and you can decide if you need more light. The older E11 is not as good, but it has superior tail cap switch.
The most useful has been the HL50 headlamp. Vote for headlamps also.
As a rule I only buy flashlights that take AA eneloops. My most powerful flashlight has some 200 lumens on highest setting, which is more than I need.
For /out/ use only, I have two Fenix E05's with lithium AAA batteries as backup & backup of backup. With lithiums they weight practically nothing.
Zero problems so far since 2012. Ok, once the headlamp didn't work, but it had a dead battery.
>>1057548>1€ each on amazon.>BoBThis can be just as reliable and long lasting as a 20€ light from a reputable company, but chances are it's not. A flashlight is one of the most important items in your BoB.
>>1057561>did maglite miss the wagonYes they did. Textbook example of bad company management.
