>>105696>>105720>>105762>>105894>>105964Wow. You're all a bunch of spineless, apathetic cunts. You're acting like your fate is sealed and there's no point trying to change anything. That's the cowardly, easy thing to do, and you WILL seal your (our) fate if that is how you think, even though we do have the power to correct the wrong we've done.
If we continue polluting at our current rate, the average temperature could rise as high as 6 degrees C within the next 50 - 100 years. If that happens there will be mass extinctions, drought, starvation, and much of the lush outdoors you love will be gone forever. Millions will die from lack of water to drink and grow crops. And you're just going to sit back and say "oh well we've fucked it up too much" accept it? Pathetic
We did this to the Earth, so we have the power to undo it. If we really put enough funding and our best minds to it, not only can we slow the progress of global warming, but we can correct it. We can develop industrial methods that absorb the harmful gases and emit healthy clean air. We can change to alternative fuels that, while more expensive, will stop the emission of greenhouse gases. These things are being developed right now.
No it won't be cheap or easy, or implemented over night - perhaps not even within a couple decades, but we owe it to our children and the planet try our fucking hardest to correct our actions. Change is slowly starting now. Many companies are switching to greener methods, evne some in China. We need a more massive paradigm shift though in order to make this happen. Sadly, this may not be until people's lives are directly affected or until they're dying, because that is what it will take to get your lazy, apathetic asses into gear.
