I've never been camping and I'm going to the ADK Friday-Sunday... I have no idea what I'm suppose to pack?????? We're also hiking a 5 mile peak. Help. What are essentials to pack? So far, I got bug spray and toilet paper......

should you insist I'd suggest the following
>basic first aid kit (dont go overboard)

look dude just call your local park ranger or something, I'm ausfag so idk what the ADK is but if your climbing a 5mile peak and you've never done it before, ask a ranger cos they probably do that shit in their spare time, also if you do this right, you might start enjoying it and that's ultimately the goal, to get people /out/.

Hope this helps, seriously, call a fucking ranger and don't be afraid to tell them your a beginner, they will understand and probably be more inclined to help you more considering you don't know what your doing.
