What do y'all drive when you go /out/?
I know these threads come up pretty often, but searching the catalog didn't come up with a current one and I have a question (plus these are always a good time anyway).
I'm about to buy a new car, and my mechanic has a 2005 Outback (auto), 2010 Forester (manual), and 2010 Impreza hatchback (manual) that I'm considering. At first I wasn't interested at all in the Impreza due to lack of interior space, but it's probably the objectively best deal of the bunch given my budget and its price. I'm thinking about putting roof racks and a yakima or thule box on top to make up for some of the lost interior space (pic related), is this a good idea? Or should I just go with the Forester? I'd go for the Outback in a heartbeat if it was manual, but it's not.
Originally I wanted an 00-03 Tacoma, but finding one with a manual transmission and free of frame rust (WI winters) within my budget has proven impossible.
