Iron will be mostly trash by now.
The bigger problem I have with really old sites is by now there's so much soil over top of them my detector won't find most stuff. Even where I hunt in the mountains most of the stuff is under 2 feet of soil. I only find stuff in places like roads or middens or where animals have dug up fresh dirt.
