On the other hand, I rolled my ankle badly while wearing laced doc martens while walking downstairs back at school, and now that I bought ecco something (sorta high top but not really) I roll my ankle just walking around the city on completely flat pavement without any additional weight, sober, unfatigued.
I guess what I'm saying is, I never saw correlation between high-tops and decreased chance of rolling my ankle.
