>>1071602>>1071714Pennsylvania and West Virginia are great, also check out the western tip of Maryland on the border. My family owns property out there and my grandfather built a cabin on it when he was young. I've stayed at it a couple times. Fantastic for innawoods adventures.
There's a stream right down from the cabin. It shouldn't be hard to find one if you find a good spot to build a cabin. Few rock formations, none are big, but it's a reasonably hilly place. I see deer and small game all of the time and often hear owls at night. You'll see a lot of snow too.
