yeah, the midwest isnt the place to go if youre looking for pictures to post to your wildlife photography instagram.

But if youre actually looking to partake in outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing then the midwest cant be beat.

If you're looking to partake in outdoor activities, then the midwest is a 0. Everything good you can do is best done on private land, and if you don't have access to private land, then you're fucked. I love it here, but I have access to private land that is very enjoyable.

Winter climbing the Presidentials attracts a decent amount of mountaineers. The peaks aren't very high but the weather is fucking rugged. I wouldn't say the East Coast is the best for it by any stretch though. There's no competing with Alaska.
