The only people who have ever failed it were female officers and inner-city blacks (even then I only outright failed like 15 people in the 3 years I did it), most of the males can be successfully taught in about 5 minutes and even the enlisted females could be remedial'd in about half a day.
Those who failed met all of the following criteria:

The EIB course is set up specifically so you can find all your points with Google Maps satellite overlay, you literally don't even need your compass.
