Do you want to camp with it? What kind of rivers? How long can your car/roof rack support? Will you ever have to portage (weight becomes more important)? Do you want manueverability or straight-line tracking? How much are you willing to spend?
If you really just want to fuck around and aren't going to use it that often, no need to think too hard...then again, probably 90 percent of kayak owners never ever use them again after the first few times, especially as the market's been flooded with cheap rec models from Walmart/Dick's/etc.
