Money is just the way modern society functions, and is a necessity to be part of it. Back in the day it was necessary you had something of value too, be that seashells, hunting prowess, cooking skills, shiny rocks, an ass that won't quit, etc. It's not evil, it's how the world works. Living requires using resources and if you have nothing to offer nobody is required to give up theirs for you.
Sure it's possible to exist outside of mainstream society, but don't fool yourself. No man is an island, and rejecting money and modern society is just handicapping yourself because "muh natural life and money is slavery bullshit."
