I often hear you guys talk about stealth camping or exploring the forest, away from trails.
How do you do this without getting lost? As I understand even if you pay really close attention and try to go straight, a person always will slightly change direction, which over the course of a few km means you are lost even if you have a map. Is there some method to retaining your bearings so you can know which direction your camp is in or something?
I love camping and hiking and would love to be able to leave the tracks.
