>>1097995I don't have this one, but having used (mostly borrowed) similiar ones, I wouldn't recommend it. in general, steel - shafted hatchets recoil much harder than wood-shafted ones, hurting your wrists if you use them. Besides, a short machete (less than 20 inch and as heavy as possible) or a butcher's cleaver is more versatile.
As for folding saws, the only ones that work properly are large carpenter's saws that are far to large to carry. If you really need a saw, take just the blade (rolled up loosely) and build the corpus from branches.
