OK, this isn't your traditional /out/ thread, so bear with me. I see that gardening is an acceptable topic, and this is related to gardening, so just go with it. We get a lot of venomous snakes here in Alabama, and eastern diamondbacks are not fun to tangle with.

I'm curious what people's experiences are with using pistols capable of chambering 410 shotgun shells for snakes around their garden/farm/ranch/etc. Is it at all effective or is the scatter too wide for the small amount of pellets in a cartridge?
