I've always thought a polished silver camper was the best idea ever. Reflects so much light and radiant heat general from getting absorbed to inside. They've got to be a loot cooler than one that's painted. You'd think they'd paint the inside a sort of dark blue or green though to maximize the effect.

I went through all these units before I bought my trailer. Airstreams are great but very pricey. Canned hams (Shastas etc.) tend to leak and fall apart once they get older due to wimpy construction. Teardrops can be pulled by anything but seemed a bit claustrophobic. Westphalias haven't been made for years and are hard to find in good condition for a reasonable price. Here's my rig--a Ford Escape and a 1996 17 foot Casita fiberglass trailer. Solid as a rock and can go anywhere.

A polished aluminum trailer is wonderful right up until the first big hailstorm. Then it starts to look pretty ugly.

No YouTube plans as i have no camera. These picks are about 3 years old. The original 350 small block has been taken out and it's being turned into a camper. 4WD if i can make it all work with parts etc... Want to head off into the bush with it

Not going for a polish, just tried the corner area to see how it looked. I think I'm going to spray it a drab green or brown colour in the end.
This is in interior after I got it, had been used as a storage barn in the woods for 20 years on the previous owners property
