It's got a decent hip belt for a small pack

hydration bladder sleeve
The biggest thing in my mind is the frame. It's going to carry weight a lot more comfortably than the Jansport you posted. But like you said, you're not looking for a large pack, and therefore aren't carrying a lot of weight.
