I actually got interested in this when I was seeing a rangerette in the Mon NF. We were out hiking in her district when we found an old flyer for a retired army colonel who went missing in 07, no trace. She asked her boss about it the next work week and was essentially told not to push if she wanted to keep her job. I wonder if the missing hiker is one of Paulides' subjects? Is there a list out there.

That's a really strange location for people to go missing in AZ otherwise for example, no Mogollon Rim, no Kaibab, no super spooky reservation disappearances. Just the desert north of Phoenix.

I live right on the edge of the desert north of Phoenix. It is quite expansive with a lot of Mountains and trails. Im not surprised people go missing out there, I ride my bike weekly through the mountains and don't go far in because of how easy it is to get lost or run out of water.

No alien, big foot or interdimensional wormhole sightings so far.
