Backpacking trips, normally 3-5 days or so. Lately, a busy schedule has limited me to in-and-out overnighters.

I always travel with at least my wife; sometimes a couple of friends or siblings.

Depends on the terrain, weather, etc.; my last trip was 10 miles in, which is a comfortable distance.

Hammock/tarp if the weather is nice; small tent otherwise.

Jerky, nuts, freeze dried soups, bannock, fish when I can get it.

A whole lot of nothing. Sometimes I write, sometimes I go poking around if I feel up to exploration. Otherwise -- just take it all in.

I like to, but don't get the chance much. Guess I should join a club or something. Do adults have clubs?

About 25 pounds of gear and about two pounds of food per day. Exception: weekend trips I'll add a cooler and eat fresh meat, which makes weight go way up.

7-8 miles is typical if I have to drive to the park.

Long tours through wilderness areas, but since my funds as well as my holidays are limited I do more overnighters and weekenders in the local mountains

Wouldn't mind, but I have no firends who share my hobby, also I appreciate to walk my own pace, so I'm mostly solo

About 1.5 miles to my usual retreat, to my deep innawoods it's about a 5 mile walk across fields and farms

Set shelter up, gather rocks, build a camp fire, build a fire reflector wall, set up a wood processing station (stump of a tree, usually) I'm not much of a 'Leave it as you found it' kinda guy, I don't litter or anything like that though
6.) What kind of shelter?
Used to be tarp/ground sheet but I've upgraded to tent/sleeping bag/foam mattress
7.) What kind of food?
Trail mix and peanut butter
8.) Once in the woods, what do you like to do?
Whittle, build camps, explore, identify plants, reflect on thoughts while smoking a pipe

Usually very little. On the bike in the summer, it's more "riding to my spot".

Trailhead parking lot, sometimes an overnight innawoods

Trailer w/ furnace in the winter (gets cold as fuck at 10k ft); have a 3-person tent in the summer I use sometimes. More often I just roll out the sleeping pad/bag in the bed of my truck and curl up with my dog.

Steaks, burgers, stew... camp stove/grill. Sometimes just fast/easy stuff like a can of soup.

Ride motorcycle/snowmobile

Pic related, last weekend. 20lb turkey in the grill; mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, pasta, salad, and garlic toast in the RV's.

Primitive (fire pit, maybe a pit toilet) if in a government park or forest, otherwise rocking out on some island and making do

I usually just use an ordinary square tent, you know, about the size most Boy Sc/out/s use (can fit two people and their gear) although I enjoyed sleeping under my poncho-tarp-tent when I tried it once

freeze-dried FTW if I'm using my trusty little Esbit stove; if I have an open fire, though, I like scrambled eggs, stews, etc.

the more open the better, near a stream for water. usually if you hiking on trails there are sites set up, I use those. Always with a small fire.

2person tent with full rainfly or hammock with tarp.

walk, see how much distance I can travel. Always been like that, never could just stroll. Have to see what kind of time I can make. Once at camp though, build a fire, gather a nice stack of tender (sometimes leave a neat pile by any preexisting fire ring), play with my plant identification guide, cook, stargaze and tell stories.
