I'm sure this has been posted before, but I made some vaseline(petroleum jelly)-soaked cotton balls.
Melted the vaseline into liquid in a pot (which was surprisingly easy and fast) and soaked 50 cotton balls.
I made spaghetti before this without cleaning the pot well, so gave it this fun color.
Produced a good flame for 9 minutes, and then burned for one more minute, though was not a tall flame at all.
I'm going to try some paraffin wax next time, but for $2.50 and 50 starters, it'll be a little while. What do you guys use for fire starters?
