Made some char cloth today from an Egyptian cotton washcloth (cheap at Ollies). Put in a few pieces cut from a gunny sack.

Gunny char cloth takes a spark well (flint and steel, not a ferro rod), but it's brittle and doesn't have best surface area to take a spark. Burns like a mofo once it takes though
