>>1120837All retail sucks unless you can get into the couple of good places like Costco or Whole Foods.
But beyond that, it's def less soul crushing if you get the chance to work with something you're mildly interested in. When I was a kid, I made it about 2 weeks at a patio furniture store, 2 weeks at a grocery store, and then 4 years at a pet store because I didn't absolutely hate talking to people about aquariums and lizards and birds.
Never worked at the mall tho and I hear everybody say it's especially depressing.
>>1120839I hope they reopen the one in Palm Beach. They had a different selection than Bass Pro, no Cabela's nearby, none of the local tackle shops I have been to really carry shit, and Dick's is a mediocre selection of meme lures.
>>1120841So are they going to change some of the former Gander stores into Camping World? Do they carry any fishing stuff?
I would think the Palm Beach store had to be one of the better performing stores tho. It wasn't as busy as Bass Pro, but there were always a handful of people in there for fishing and gun stuff. If that Gander was in Bass Pro's location tho, it would be busier. Bass Pro in Dania is 30min north of Miami, 30min south of West Palm Beach, and basically in Fort Lauderdale which is huge for saltwater fishing. Not many people will go up north of West Palm Beach from down near me to Gander when Bass Pro is closer and everything north of WPB is rednecks like 704z anon and they fish with 30 year old reels, not the newest memecasters with $20 SavageMemes, LuckyMemes, and MemeTargets tied on the line.
Also I'm still curious about Sports Authority. Are they totally kill? I got real excited when I saw a couple Academy trucks in the area right after they closed but I think that Academy must have bought out their remaining inventory and cleared out the stores.
