here's a maybe stupid idea, What IF I were to use my heavy walking stick as a platform to attach an axe head from my pack? Maybe a bayonet lug sort of thing too for my knife. If strength is an issue, it shouldn't be hard to attach a metal reinforcing strip along the stick's side. When I'm done with the axe attachment, I'd be able to stow it in my pack
