Main pouch is variable, but usually shells, maybe a change of shirt, knife, water bottle, hat, all that would be a pretty tight load. If I'm doing a trail and taking it easy I sometimes wear it like a shoulder bag, if I'm cutting through off trail it's usually like a fanny pack.
