Best firelay for store bought split wood?

I have two bundles of wood for my back yard campfire. I usually split some of it down for tinder and kindling as i dont have enough dead wood to source in my yard.

Usually i go with a lean-to to start and then build it up to a tipi, but eventually have to blow on the coals and add more kindling to keep the bigger logs going. Was thinking about trying an upside down firelay but those are best for making coals. Any ideas?
