I found these Hisea backpacks for $25.

What are the chances it will be a total piece of shit and fall apart? And is it possible to reinforce the stitching by hand and turn it into a quality pack?

Doubtful. Bombproof, hand-reinforced stitching cannot fix shit-tier fabric or bad design.

Buy something that will last.

If you buy cheap. chink-made shit, it'll break fairly quickly and you'll have to replace it often.

If you stop being a Jew and shell out a little extra cash for something higher quality, you'll end up spending less money in the future on replacements. A good pack doesn't need to break the bank either; $75 can get you a solid pack that won't fall apart after a year.

If you can't afford anything above $25, set a bit of cash aside after each paycheck until you can.

Another inexpensive option would be to make your own pack, although that requires some proficiency in sewing, some equipment, and time.

This, I've got what is considered by this board a meme tier pack that cost £100ish quid and has outlasted all those cheap £30 ones I was replacing yearly and looks to have a few more years in her yet before I need to repair or replace.

It's simple and completely waterproof. I think I'm gonna install a hip strap and maybe a water bottle pocket or two (I have a ton of extra scraps from gear projects and like to sew, so not a big deal).

As far as the stupid cheap packs go, I can't advise like everyone else on this thread. Here's my logic.

Don't fuck around with shoes and your bag though. As a beginner, if you can't walk out of there you're fucked. Everything else can wait but be able to walk and take your essential shit with you.

I bought a chink backpack about 5 or 6 years ago. It held up fine and still looks new.
Just bought another smaller one and it looks like it will last fine.
Both were about $30

I got a MEC day pack for 35$ +5$ membership fee. 3 years later and it's still going even after heavy use every single day+ hiking and camping. mind blow at the quality of the materials and stitching.

thing is rugged as fuck. Best backpack for the price I have ever gotten honestly.
