>>1124012I'd say neither really care that much about the /out/ philosophy or goals. The Republicans are generally more in favor of deregulation of industry which has historically been detrimental to the environment. They are also for smaller government which squares well with /out/.
The Dems generally just use environmental issues to make Republicans and polluting industries out to look like evil people. I think Dems are more willing to increase spending on programs that are good for the environment, but I think plenty of people here don't really like that, even if they enjoy the benefits.
The environment should be a non-partisan issue. We need to manage our environment sustainably. That means strong environmental regulations, subsidies for pollution abatement, frequent auditing, investment in future technologies, proactive zoning, etc.
