Do any of you guys make or modify your own Tools or Equipment? Just curious to see what other people do. Ive been thinking about taking a cheap axe(Dont want to fuck up my good one) Where ill drill a small hole in the base of an axe and inserting a metal rod with a threaded section on the inside to store waterproof matches. then screwing a small bolt with sealing tape to keep it safe. Though im going to try and keep the hole shallow to try and keep the axe somewhat stable. Dont want them cracks. Otherwise im going for a paracord wrap with a Ferro Rod attached(I know people think theyre useless but i like them and you should always have more than one way for Making fire) Then as well attaching a small knife w. Sheath to the wrap for feather sticks and small wood shit. I know you shouldnt keep all of your important equipment in one very loseable spot and this sounds like autism but its just an experiment.
